Below we did a quick interview of Robbie so that you guys could see what he’s about. We’re going to have Robbie do a video blog that covers everything Krass & Co. so you can expect to see a lot of him in the future!

Hometown: Summit, New Jersey
School: Lehigh University

Roll at Krass & Co.: Intern, pledge, human footrest, all the terrible boring activities that no one else wants to do, etc.

1) Why did you want to be a Krass & Co. intern?
Well there were the obvious incentives of making some money and getting to chill with Pierson, which is never a dull time.  However I also wanted the experience of working with a small but successful start up where I would be performing a diverse variety of tasks and where I could learn what sort of work I enjoy and what doesn’t appeal to me.

2) What is your favorite Krass & Co. short?
That’s a tough one, but the classic lobster in navy and the sea king shorts are both pretty awesome.

3) What do you like to do?
I’m in a fraternity at Lehigh (with Pierson and Will, the Krass & Co. founders, who are two years ahead of me) and on the Track and Field team. Those two things consume most of my time, but beyond that I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and moonlit dinners.

4) If you could switch places with one fictional character, who would it be, and why?
Jack Bauer. And not so much because I think I’d make a great Jack Bauer, but more so because I think Jack Bauer would make a great me.

5) Favorite comedy and favorite quote from that comedy?
Caddyshack is a classic, and anything that comes out of Rodney Dangerfield or Bill Murray’s mouth in that movie kills me, but my favorite line is when Al (Rodney Dangerfield) says “Oh, this your wife, huh? A lovely lady. Hey baby, you must’ve been something before electricity.”

6) What is your favorite place to hang out?
Either down the shore in the summer or just up at the fraternity house with my boys.

7) Coolest thing you’ve ever done?
I went skydiving and bungee jumping once and that was completely unreal.

8) What would you say to someone who is looking to intern at Krass & Co.?
There can be only one intern. Dale Doback says it best in Step Brothers, “You and your mom are hillbillies. This is a house of learned doctors.”

But seriously, so far it seems like it’s going to be serious, hard work so as long as you’re a diligent worker it’s a pretty awesome gig between the flexible hours, pay, experience, and room and board.

9) What are you most worried about this summer?
Well as I said before (question 3), this won’t be the first time Pierson has had some authority over me and that is a truly terrifying prospect. Trust me.

Welcome to the Krass & Co. Deckhand portal.  We are really pumped to finally have this live for you guys so that we can increase and improve the communication we have with all of you. Just to give you a quick rundown this is what is included in the portal:

Portal Page – This will have two leader boards that will be updated weekly starting this coming Monday. It will include the top rep from the week before and the all time leader board for 2013. Below the leader boards will be the “Rep Updates” which will be updates on everything that is currently going on within the company. You can expect 2-3 new ones a week.

My Account Page – This is where all of your info is stored so we can keep up to date on how to contact you. We will also update this page on a weekly basis to let you know how many points you’ve earned.

Rep Guides – This page will include any guides we make for you guys. Right now we have the original guide loaded up as well as a Facebook page guide.

Rep Updates – This will include all of the rep updates posted so you can go back and read them if you’d like.

FAQ’s – This page includes an extensive list of questions to help answer anything you might want to know. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, let us know and we will add it!

Submit Requests Page – This has an extensive request form, which will allow you to request free gear, more points, tell us marketing ideas you have, etc. This should be your PRIMARY form of contact with us if you want to know something. That way we can keep everyone’s requests organized and responded within the 48 hour window we’ve given ourselves.

We really hope that you guys like the portal, we think it will be a great tool to help us communicate with you guys and keep you updated on everything that’s going on!

Please note that this portal is still a work in progress! We wanted to get you guys on here and find out what you wanted us to add. Expect a survey later this week asking what else would be helpful for us to include on here.

For the first time since 2011 we also decided to make two other color variations of our Classic Lobster Shorts. The first is a seafoam green version with blue lobsters.

And the second is a coral version that also includes blue lobsters.

This year we decided to add two more completely new embroidered shorts. The first pair are called the Harbor Shorts and feature a navy body with a pink crab embroidery.

Then finally we have the Trophy Fish Shorts, which are green with a sailfish embroidery.

Beyond the embroidered shorts we also have three printed shorts. We brought back our Admiral’s Shorts from last year. As you can see we change the actual print as well as the colors slightly.

We also brought back our best selling Outer Beach Shorts, which have been renamed the “Sea King Shorts.” For these we changed the color and detail on the print to make it a little more pink and less orange.

Lastly we have the Regatta Shorts, another totally new design. The Regatta Shorts are a bright light blue with a yellow sailboat print.

We hope you like what we came up with and we’re looking forward to releasing some limited edition shorts this summer!

Due to the popularity of the Summer Sails Tee last year we decided to do another variation, which features a fishing boat. The Ultimate Catch Tee is for fishing enthusiasts and includes a fishing boat that’s been filled in with fish and other relevant designs.

In addition to the regular t-shirts we are also very proud to introduce our first pocket tees. The pocket tees have a print on the top of the pocket and then an enlarged version of the print on the back. Below is the Dock Your Yacht Pocket Tee:

Next is our No Chaser Pocket Tee, which includes a whiskey bottle and old fashioned print.

Followed by our whale print pocket tee aka the High Roller Pocket Tee.

Finally, as you probably expected, we have the Classic Lobster Pocket Tee.
